According to research by The British Heart Foundation, eight in ten Brits (81%) are self-confessed hoarders, stashing away an average of 32 household items worth a whopping £514.

Almost a quarter (23%) of people admitted they have a bedroom in their house dedicated to excess clutter.
But it doesn’t have to be like that. With dedicated self-storage facilities popping up all over the country, treasured household items, you don’t have the space for or for the items which ‘might be worth something in years to come!,’ can be securely stored away.

In addition the study showed the negative effects of hoarding, with 15% experiencing high stress levels and just over one in ten (12%) avoiding having friends over to dodge embarrassment.

So free up your spare room and starting using it again as the bedroom it was designed to be and invite friends and family to stay!
