Harbour Books at Space Saver

Harbour Books at Space Saver

You will often find either Keith or Liz from Harbour Books working away unpacking and sorting another delivery of books in their Space Saver unit. Harbour books is a pretty, local book shop perfectly situated on Whitstable’s busy Harbour Street. The shops and restaurants have barely changed for over a hundred years so consequently suffer from limited storage space.

So in 2003, Keith decided it was time to tackle their storage problem by searching for alternative space. Harbour Book sell discounted books ranging from recently released paperbacks to children’s books, beautiful cards, gifts and much more. They receive a lot of deliveries often early when the shop is closed.

Space Saver Storage could accept and sign for delivery when we weren’t around and put the pallets straight into our unit. It meant we no longer had to wait around for our deliveries. And Space Saver always let us know when our delivery arrives

Harbour books have a large racked area which is a convenient way to store their books and an open area to sort pallet deliveries. The unit came in helpful recently when Harbour Books refurbished their shop – the carpenters were able to get deliveries sent to the site and complete some of the work here. The shop now has a brand new layout including a children’s area with a comfy sofa.

We are really pleased with the new look shop and Space Saver provided a perfect solution when we needed to clear the shop for the work to be completed. The site only a short drive from Whitstable so we could quickly pop back and forth.
